Dear Fulton Elementary School Families,

I am honored to be in my 12th year as Principal of Fulton Elementary School. I want every child at this school to thrive as a capable and competent student. By working together with all of you, and our dedicated staff, I am confident we can make this happen.

I have had a wide range of educational experiences over the past 35 years. Prior to coming to School District 146 I was an Elementary Principal in Park Forest, an Early Childhood Coordinator, Principal at an alternative school for students with social and emotional concerns , a Pre-School teacher, and a Clinical Social Worker where I worked with various schools. Also, I was a stay at home dad for 5 years. My core values guide my work at Fulton. I value all relationships, a high quality instructional program, equitable experiences, and a safe and peaceful school environment. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Valparaiso University in 1978, my 1st masters in 1981 and a 2nd masters in Education Administration in 1991.

As a parent of two grown daughters I understand how important it is for school and home to communicate on a regular basis, and work together to ensure that every child thrives and is successful.

I want to thank you for your support as we work together to make this a great year for all our children.

Sincerely yours,

Ron Gonser
